Formatting:

To better accomofate the mix of numbered and un-numbered refs, I changed it into 1 column. Next step:

All the refs should be turned into numbered refs and linked with text. . e.g., He was interviewed by the NYT for for several stories: one about XYX <ref></ref>on July ,1999, oneanother about the whatever on Date <ref></ref>
