funny
[edit]he's funny —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.235.35.207 (talk) 20:59, 26 April 2007 (UTC).
I don't know if you guys saw his appearance with Colbert on 12/11/2021 but it warrants us starting the page with "David Alan Grier is a guy who won a Tony and..." Zatrp (talk) 23:31, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
Bipolar
[edit]Does anyone know why he was banned from Loveline? I don't recall him doing anything particularly egregious. Also, are their any sources of him being diagnosed as having bipolar disorder? Legitimus (talk) 15:14, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Disambiguation
[edit]Should a new article be made for Prof. Grier? If so, it could be titled David Alan Grier (professor) and a link to it could be put at the top of this article. An argument against it would be that the professor may not be notable enough for his own article; an argument in favor of it would be that it would remove unrelated material from the actor's article. Another option would be to add him to George Washington University's faculty section (with a link at the top of this page, of course). I'd favor that last approach. What does everyone else think? Cass Tech
[edit]"He graduated from Detroit's former premier high school, Cass Tech..."
Is "former premier" necessary? I thought it was still up there as the best. In any case, I changed it to "Detroit's magnet high school, Cass Tech..." to avoid any "controversy." Objections? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.0.9.94 (talk) 07:57, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Birth year (1956 or 1955)
[edit]If I'm reading the sourced cited next to his birth year (Reference [1]) correctly (which states that "Grier's 54th birthday was Wednesday" [June 30, 2010]), then he had to have been born in 1956, right? Am I missing something? Veritatem dilexi (talk) 23:56, 23 April 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, the source says 1956. It was changed on April 22 by 76.177.49.255, who, for some reason, has been changing a lot of birth dates on Wikipedia, without providing reliable sources that support the changes. I reverted the edit, as it contradicts the cited source.—J. M. (talk) 21:02, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
