U.S. Marines
[edit]Apparently Mr. Karnes is no longer on active duty, so am changing to "ex-Marine." See Talk:Jason Thomas. I think we need to reserve the label "U.S. Marine" to people on active duty in the Marines, for otherwise we would have to label all former active duty Marines as Marines.--Mantanmoreland 18:36, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
The proper term would be a former Marine since there are no "ex-Marines." Once a Marine, Always a Marine. Semper Fidelis.----GySgt P, USMC
I'm convinced that this man is still a United States Marine, not a "ex-Marine", not a "former Marine", a United States Marine! by the courage and commitment that he showed, I am honored to serve in the same beloved corps as this man. Semper Fidelis GySgt. Ssgt.
