Article title
[edit]Beagel created this article on 24 December 2006 with the title "Dauletabad Gas Field", the name that it is usually referred to in English language sources. On 17 October 2008, Garliyev, without comment, moved the article to "Döwletabat Gas Field", where "Döwletabat" is, most likely, the correct Turkmen spelling of the name. After due consideration, and re-reading Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English), Wikipedia:Naming conventions (geographic names), and Wikipedia:Naming conventions (places); I have restored the original title. I found no English language sources that used "Döwletabat" with the diacritical mark, except Wikipedia and derivatives. By far, the common English form was "Dauletabad Gas Field". --Bejnar (talk) 19:16, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
