Marsupial mice
[edit]Help--where are the marsupial mice? Marsupial mouse redirects here, not helpful. Badagnani 08:59, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- Here's one:
- --Mathew5000 09:18, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- All smaller members of the family Dasyuridae are sometimes referred to as "marsupial mice". Most belong in the genera Antechinus and Sminthopsis. Ucucha 09:58, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- Then perhaps the link should point to the family instead of the order. Are their any marsupial mice that are not dasyurids? - UtherSRG (talk) 11:38, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- The Britannica article says that all marsupial mice do belong to the family Dasyuridae. Britannica goes on to give various examples: Antechinus, Sminthopsis crassicaudata, Dasycercus cristicauda, Antechinomys, Phascogale, and Planigale. --Mathew5000 16:58, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- Click here for a search of Wikipedia articles that reference "marsupial mouse". --Mathew5000 17:03, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- I've changed the redirect, and edited the lead of "Dasyuridae". - UtherSRG (talk) 11:49, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
