Autism

Hey Q0, I am not sure that just because she was diagnosed with borderline autism when she was "very young" makes her a person with autism. There are two factors which make it difficult to classify her as autistic -- the fact that she was very young and the fact that at that time she was only said to be "borderline." I think that the category you added isn't really accurate and thus I have removed it. Although if better supporting evidence is found -- especially a statement from her in which she says she is autistic or someone reputable claims that she clearly exhibits autistic behavior -- the categorization should be readded. --Ben Houston 23:01, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

It is common for autistic people to be diagnosed when they are very young. Often, autistic traits are most visible in early childhood and sometimes autistic people learn to "blend in" in adulthood. I don't know what it means to call her "borderline" autistic. My guess is that when people use the word "borderline" to describe autism, they mean it is their opinion that the autistic traits are mild. Q0 18:03, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

Their are 3 disorders that exist within the the same spectrum as autism. Autism, Aspergers, and NLD. Although autism can vary in its severity even its mildest forms are severe. If Hannah was autistic, I think it would be evident by her behavior. I think the borderline autism diagnosis was probably made before the other aspergers or NLD were widely known. Or was a miss diagnosis. I doubt Hannah has autism.

Actually there are 5; it is not rare for patients with two (Asperger's Syndrome and PDD-NOS) of them to be essentially symptom-free by the time they are adults, although still the exception, not the rule. There is no autistic spectrum disorder called NLD (probably thinking of PDD-NOS). Baccyak4H 02:16, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
I think NLD might be a reference to nonverbal learning disorder. Q0 (talk) 11:36, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Also I made minor edits about her involvement with the SOuth Central Farm because the article in its previous form made it seem like she just became involved on June 13th. She became involved at least a month earlier then that. June 13th is when she was arrested for her involvement.65.125.163.221 02:23, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

Ms. Hannah also appeared in a forgetable caper film with Val Kilmer and Christian Slater called "Hard Cash", around 2001. Clparrott 22:00, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Ethnicity

Has her ethnicity ever een revealed? Hannah can Armenian, Assyrian, or maybe even Arab Chaldean 17:12, 25 March 2006 (UTC)a

Hannah is usually a Scottish/English last name, i.e. John Hannah. I'm sure Daryl Hannah is mostly if not exclusively Anglo-Saxon. Mad Jack O'Lantern 06:46, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

The name is derived frem the Hebrew language. But that doesn't mean that lot since my surname is Simon and through I'm a Catholic German. On the other hand she is listened as Jewish actress...but here on wikipedia they seem to list everyone as Jewish. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.225.79.75 (talk) 14:34, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

That's why she was listened:

Pretty sure she's not pregnant

Her page says she's currently pregnant but I'm pretty sure that's not accurate. She has expressed an interest in adopting a child, but nothing is set in stone yet. 71.71.241.247 21:56, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Hard core

Why does this article make no mention of her appearance performing hard core sex in adult movies like Mother Lode XXX? Or is it a doppelganger? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.160.102.54 (talk) 15:25, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

That's a different person, who chose a similar (but not identical) porn name because she admires the subject of this page. The porn actress spells her name with two Rs and one N. Dvd Avins (talk) 22:59, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Blade Runner

Her first notable role came as the acrobatic and violent replicant, Pris, in Ridley Scott's 1982 sci-fi classic Blade Runner, in which she performed her own gymnastic stunts.

Not all of them, according to the 25th anniversary edition DVD set (you know, the one with four discs and a four-hour making-of documentary). She did the backflip for Rutger Hauer and the other guy herself, as well as sitting on Harrison Ford's head and twisting his neck, but that long series of backflips later on was actually done by a male stunt double because a) they didn't want to risk injuring Hannah b) she couldn't do that many backflips and c) Ridley Scott had burned out the original stunt double with a morning of exhausting takes and retakes. Not Good Enough

Years ago, I remember reading that John Kennedy's mother (Jackie) was responsible for ending the relationship between Daryl and him. He was supposedly crazy about her and wanted to marry her. It was rumored that Jackie forced him to end it because she felt that Daryl was "not good enough" or "classy enough." Anyone hear of this as well?--74.229.102.208 (talk) 00:20, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

comeback

If the article says, "have been described by some as a comeback," then it needs to say why and how she went away. Slrubenstein | Talk 18:54, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
