Age
[edit]The infobox says he was born in 1972, the lead section 1975. Which is correct? Angmering (talk) 16:47, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Linked with Reading
[edit]There currently seems to be a contentious sentence in the article that is the subject of a bit of a revert-war. The sentence in question states that Ferguson has been linked to the vacant manager position at Reading. No one has stated that he is going to be th enew manager at Reading. By providing two sources that Ferguson has been linked to Reading - one a fansite of the club, one an impartial independent site - I have presented references that show that he is being linked with the vacant position. I will leave it as is at the moment, but will revert to the previous version in 24 hours unless I see persuasive evidence to the contrary. Mycroft (talk) 12:30, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
- Scratch that, I have found yet another new source, at the Daily Mail (which, although not to everyone's tastes, is a reputable source for referencing on wikipedia) and have reinstated the part in question Mycroft (talk) 12:41, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
- Media speculation over the future of any individual is not encyclopaedic. If it transpires that Ferguson becomes the manager of Reading, then the prior media predictions may become relevant, but until then, they're just examples of the media making up stories to fill column inches. – PeeJay 01:12, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
Neutrality
[edit]The neutrality is heavily disputed, especially the summary — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.96.108.199 (talk) 23:01, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
The section detailing the recall of Manchester United and Stoke players from Preston following Ferguson's departure is also of questionable neutrality, as well as questionable relevance.
