Infobox stats

[edit]

I added a footnote, thinking Alfmaster had included Ipswich's 2 playoff matches in 2002, as there were 2 more apps than the stats offered by soccerbase.com. I have since realised that Bent played a total of 4 playoff matches, so I've changed my edit to reflect soccerbase.com's figures, which don't include playoff games as league games.  sʟυмɢυм • т  c  20:34, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

the goal stats are incredibly vague. i came to see how many goals he's got in each season at charlton instead i'm given a collative total. someone please fix thing.

Using Spurs "fan site" as a source will be deleted.

Payment

[edit]

Is there any truth in Spurs paying Charlton the money in installments over three years?

Check this. Mattythewhite 17:56, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have never read anywhere but on here that the fee for Darren Bent was £22.5 million. Everything else I have ever read has suggested the fee was £16 million. Any idea where this information comes from? Doctor Puss (talk) 14:21, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've changed it to what the cited source says, which is £16.5m. Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 16:00, 16 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

GA review comments

[edit]

Well, here we go...

So, that's it for now. I'll put it on hold. Let me know if you want to discuss anything or when you'd like a re-review. The Rambling Man 18:44, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

More GA

[edit]

Much better, couple more things..

Definitely getting there but these need sorting. The Rambling Man (talk) 17:27, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

All good now so I'm happy to promote. Please try to keep an eye on the article and update it accordingly to keep its status as GA! The Rambling Man (talk) 09:59, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Goal total

[edit]

Spurs Website Juande:Important win claims Bent has 100 career goals, but figures don't stack up. 37 with Ipswich, 55 with Charlton, 5 up to 8 march 2008 + 1 he scored against WHU as per article, only gets to 98. Anyone know where the other 2 goals are? penalties in shootouts? playoff matches? --ClubOranje (talk) 22:44, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the commentator on my live video feed also said "finally he has his 100th, he's been on 99 for a long time" or words to that effect--ClubOranje (talk) 23:23, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Shooting

[edit]

His shooting of a 12 year old caused controversy at the time, considering he was 18 and an Ipswich first team player. Why was this section removed? Once again the wiki fascist editors know nothing. If you google it, or ask any Ipswich fans you will find out this is 100% true and a notable story for this article, not many young pro- players shoot 12 year old kids do they? I remember the away fans chant even today "hes quick, hes black, he shoot kids in the back... Darren Bent.... Darren Bent." Transfer

[edit]

the claim that manchester city made an offer on the 17th jan 2011 for bent. the reference cited (the bbc sport website) makes no reference to manchester city making a bid and the claim should be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.200.143.32 (talk) 15:50, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Appearances for Aston Villa

[edit]

Darren Bent's number of league appearances for Aston Villa is 5, but his total Aston Villa appearances is only 4. 175.138.111.15 (talk) 10:30, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Premier League vs Soccerbase

[edit]

I notice that certain information in the infobox has been drawn from Soccerbase. Soccerbase is a betting site, so I think the Premier League would be preferable for sourcing information. Michael Glass (talk) 03:51, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
