Fair use rationale for Image:DarkHorseCover.jpg
Image:DarkHorseCover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 01:04, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

- It is reasonably well written.
- a (prose): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
- Lead should be expanded
- "in tatters," - this seems to be redundant
- "Harrison himself would remain an Apple artist until his EMI contract expired in January 1976," - What is Apple? I know it, but many won't probably
- "But as of early 1974, he still had no distributor lined up for either the Shankar Family & Friends album," - I would not start a sentence with "but", consider adding "however" after the date.
- "Plus, Harrison was working to seal" - plus is kind of colloquial, consider replacing with "Furthermore" or similar
- "Come 23 September, " - not sure what you mean
- "It's possible" - write it out
- "“Ring out the old, ring in the new”" - why italicized? And avoid curly quotations per MOS:QUOTEMARKS. I noticed you wrote in curly quotation marks, but you need to replace them with straight ones
- United Kingdom silver in "Shipments and sales" unsourced
- a (prose): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
- It is factually accurate and verifiable.
- a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
- I think it is fairly messy if you include a detailed referencing style all the time. How about adding a sepereated section with the full details, and then simply use a shorter style, eg "<ref>Leng, ''While My Guitar Gently Weeps: The Music of George Harrison'', p.200</ref> or maybe short footnotes. But it is up to you after all
- Use a consistent style throughout
- Bare urls should be fixed
- I strongly suggest to use the citation templates
- Don't forget the period behind p or pp
- "This was a very poor result for an artist of Harrison’s stature, and as an ex-Beatle, although Ringo Starr’s Beaucoups of Blues had similarly missed the cut in Britain back in 1970." looks like original research, maybe even a comment.
- a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
- It is broad in its coverage.

"BITS & PIECES"
The "words of wisdom" found on the borders of the gatefold sleeve , were various quotes from Sir Frank Crisp , that George Harrison found on an old "Travellers Map" , that was handed out to visitors , when "Friar Park" was open to public viewing. ( Harrison incorporated a lot of Sir Frank's quips into several of his albums. )
The school photo , on the front cover , is edited and re-arranged slightly. If you look hard enough , you will find:Paul McCartney,(his brother)Mike McCartney,John Lennon,Ringo Starr , and Beatle chum Neil Aspinal.( Among others. ) Harvey J Satan (talk) 00:57, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
