This Artlice
[edit]this article states:
The Dark Avenger is mostly famous for inventing polymorphic code, with his Mutation Engine (MtE)
the article on polymorphic code states:
The first known polymorphic virus was written by Mark Washburn. The virus, called 1260, was written in 1990. A more known polymorphic virus was invented in 1992 by the Bulgarian cracker Dark Avenger (a pseudonym) as a means of avoiding pattern recognition from antivirus-software.
was he the original inventor of polymorphic code or not? the articles appear to contradict on this point.
Ah, yes, but his Mutation Engine was released in 1988. 24.57.65.61 00:22, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
Major article overhaul
[edit]I did some major changes to the article. It is now divided into sections; I added tons of cited info. The previous mass of text is now ordered. —Preceding unsigned comment added by LaughingSkull (talk • contribs) 22:51, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
