Danisco has a section on their website for flavors and fragrances but it seems to be all about flavors. Do they actually have any fragrance business? Wjousts 02:12, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Danisco logo wikipedia.gif

[edit]

Image:Danisco logo wikipedia.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:30, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't upload the image in question but surely company logos are considered fair use in an article about the company? Isn't this what Wikipedia:Logos spells out? Wjousts 01:28, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

reclame?

[edit]

These sentences sounds like reclame: Danisco's broad technology platform ... A considerable proportion of the employees are engaged in research and development of new and more consumer friendly --ArazZeynili (talk) 12:23, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nice spot - a quick search showed those sentences to be a copyvio of this document, amongst other places. Removed them and tidied the article up a bit. Gr1st (talk) 12:39, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Divestment of Sugar

[edit]

On May 3 2007 Danisco signed an agreement on the divestment of Flavours to Swiss-based Firmenich, a world leader within flavours and fragrances. At the same time, Danisco and Firmenich entered into a strategic partnership on flavours. Gaining access to Firmenich’s entire product portfolio, the partnership allows Danisco to offer an even stronger product range to the food industry.[1]

On July 2, 2007 Danisco has divested its Flavours Division to Swiss-based Firmenich, the world’s largest privately owned company within flavours and fragrances.[2]

For Danisco the divestment is in line with the strategy of enhancing focus on additional growth opportunities in market-leading ingredients segments that enjoy a strong technology platform and global top 1, 2 or 3 positions.[3]
