Various initial comments
[edit]I have added a list of external links to my published works, and added some text in order to help justify why I consider my works significant, in response to the comments about why this page was marked for speedy deletion. Thank you very much. DanielWeinreb (talk) 13:34, 21 November 2007 (UTC) DanielWeinreb
- Well, disregarding the remarkable hubris of declaring yourself notable (someone once said, "if you have to tell people you're famous, you're not"), a brief glance at the history suggests that no one has ever marked this page for speedy deletion. Lordjeff06 (talk) 19:59, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
- Knock it off with the hubris stuff. Daniel Weinreb is perfectly notable; and he's referring to the AfD, not speedy. The distinction is often unclear to newbies. --Gwern (contribs) 22:11 21 November 2007 (GMT)
- Look, I have no interest in getting into an argument, semantic or otherwise. If he meant the AFD, I apologize for what may have been seen as a condescending tone (although, not for nothing, but the AFD closed almost a month ago). For my part, I do not think he's particularly notable, but I'm content to defer to the AFD decision. I'd just point out that in the time that this article has existed, the only substantive edits have come from the article's subject. Everything else has been copy editing, formatting, or the addition/removal of tags. I can sympathize somewhat with band members or company owners fighting to claim recognition for their organizations, but an individual exhibiting such tenacity about his own importance is, if not evidence of hubris, at least... inelegant. - It closed on the 5th of November, t'day's the 21st. (A short month.) I haven't edited it because, a) in sum, the external links do a good job of covering the topic and b) I'm lazy. It may be inelegant, but it works. --Gwern (contribs) 02:07 22 November 2007 (GMT)

[edit]Would it be OK to remove the "This article does not cite any references or sources." notation, since I have added a bunch of them? Thank you. -- Daniel Weinreb —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.93.214.249 (talk) 11:45, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
