Untitled

[edit]
  • I would have put the picture to the left side. The mediaeval books start usually with a nice miniature on the left side. Since the introduction of the computer all the rules are mixed up.
  • You can easily reverse the picture, in one of your photo edit programms.
  • Besides, I am surprised and glad anyone mentions it. Only a few people seem to be aware in Wikipedia. I hate it when the sitter looks outside the frame, some people change it again. They think there is a rule pictures should be as small as possible (in the German Wikipedia) and on the right side (in the Dutch Wikipedia).

I added a new picture. The previous image was a copy of this one in reverse anyway. --Stomme (talk) 10:32, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jesuit Brother

[edit]

Nothing can be understood in the life and work of Daniel Seghers if it is not mentioned that he was a Jesuit brother. Besides, Jesuits were not collecting holy relics but were very much in need of benefactors for the running of their schools. Hence the gifts they were making of Seghers' paintings to members of the nobility and other highly placed personalities. Zerged (talk) 20:03, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
