To clarify, to verify and confirm this man's notability, each and either of WP:MIL, WP:ACADEMIC, and WP:POLITICIAN (and possibly others) would all have to be checked and verified. We're not very good at coming up with reliable standards for those whose notability falls across several different categories. The one thing I do know about WP:POLITICIAN is that losing political candidates, whose notability is claimed on their political candidature status alone, usually get their articles deleted. Hope this may be of help. Buckshot06(talk)22:33, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
When I quickly reviewed the guidelines, it doesn't appear that Daniel Gade meets the Academic ( He doesn't appear to have more than a standard professor role at American University) or Politician standards ( He is just a candidate for political office, which doesn't qualify for notability) but I'm not sure about the MIL standards, I'd like somebody experienced with MIL notability to check those standards for this page.Jackattack1597 (talk) 21:45, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I added a sentence about Gade's advocacy for reforming veterans disability policy (diff) primarily because it is relevant to the article, and secondarily so that we (editors generally) have all (or almost all) information relevant to determining notability. Okay, with that in mind, I don't think he has achieved significant enough news coverage as a political candidate to justify his own article, and as a professor and onetime unconfirmed EEOC nominee he doesn't seem to meet notability standards, so I will nominate this page for deletion so that a decision can be made on whether or not this page meets notability standards. Might he meet the notability requirement by being a wounded Serviceman and being outspoken with "published" statements? Secondly; the article is very lacking on details of his U.S. Army Career. Wounded in action twice- When/ what years? States he returned to West Point in 2011 (after 14 years of Service). What position / tasking did he have while service at West Point?
