Merge

I believe that this article should be merged into Dance Dance Revolution (Wii video game). If necessary, we may create a section within that article that describes nuances between the PS3 and Wii versions. Anyone agree/disagree? SweetNightmares (talk) 16:51, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

Title disambiguation

WP:NC(VG) suggests that platform specific remakes or mods should be named TITLE_([platform]), this suggests that the article should be named "Dance Dance Revolution (Wii)" instead of the current title. On the other hand, WP:NCDAB#Naming_the_specific_topic_articles says proper names should be avoided when disambiguating in parenthesis. I do think the disambiguation part is too long, as it is unlikely that removing the "video game" part would create ambiguity.

However, while WP:NC(VG) says the most common English title should be used, WP:PRECISION prefers natural disambiguation over disambiguation in parenthesis. As WP:NC(VG) does not mention this problem in their disambiguation section renaming to Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 4 may be preferable.

In summary, I think the disambiguation scheme should be changed. We should either use natural disambiguation using the title of the European release or we should shorten "Wii video game" to "Wii".
