Can we please stop screwing around with vandalism tags when people are trying to fix links and fill out the page? Thanks. HistoryFightFan (talk) 18:04, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube not a source?

[edit]

Why is YouTube disaqualified from being a source of information? That shows bias on the part of article editors IMO. When Obama gives an address on YouTube it is used as a source by all media organizations etc., so I think the reasoning on the part of certain editors here is flawed. EDIT: in my rage I forgot to sign this comment my apologies HistoryFightFan (talk) 14:17, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think the reasoning on the part of certain editors here is flawed. It's standard policy at wikipedia, so not down to a few editors. If you are unhappy, I suggest you head over to WP:RS and argue for a change. --Cameron Scott (talk) 14:50, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, note the problem is not so much Youtube, but primary sources. If you check out the Obama article, you will note the vast majority of sourcing is to reliable secondary sources, not directly sourcing to stuff Obama has said in Youtube, or his blog or whatever. ~

Semi protected

[edit]

As this article has had many vandalisms by IP editors I've semi protected it. Apologies if that hinders anyone in actually improving the article, but you can still make changes indirectly. Just type {{Requested edit}} and the change you want made on this page and someone will come and deal with your suggestion. ϢereSpielChequers 07:26, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
