Is Koehl a Management Consultant?

[edit]

Swedish Wikipedians, has made strange and unmotivated removals of text and categories

[edit]

User:Tournesol, from Swedish Wikipedia, has based on his personal opinion, has:

  1. removed the category: management consultants, based on a personal onion, that "it doesn't appear to be quite correct" without giving any indication as to why this is "incorrect". The person in the article which is me, has been working as management consultant since 1997, which is verified up by several sources.
  2. removed reference that does not support the claim "one of Europe's most renowned experts on elephants.

So I hereby add 12 more citations to where the person Dan Koehl described in the article is labelled as expert and consultant:

  1. Citation from the article The foundation aiming to preserve the Kingdom’s elephant heritage in The Phnom Penh Post:

Additionally, throughout June, a Swedish elephant expert is set to work with Airavata to improve their elephant care. According to Chenda, the expert will return for one week a month over the course of a year to provide knowledge and technical work to the foundation. We were able to secure the invaluable expertise of Dan Koehl, one of the world’s most competent elephant consultants and experts who is now an adviser to our foundation.

I have checked the last three references you provided, and as far as I can tell none of them describe you as a management consultant. Would it be a waste of my time to check the rest, or do any of them actually use the term management consultant? Translating "elefantkonsulent" to "management consultant" isn't just sloppy translation, it's quite dishonest. - Tournesol (talk) 09:04, 20 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have now checked every one of the sources as thoroughly as I could. I did not find one single occurence of Koehl being described as a management consultant. - Tournesol (talk) 08:34, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mananagement consultant

[edit]

There was no mention of Koehl working as a management consultant, and even less so any references to sources referring to him as a management consultant, so I have removed that category from the article.

If Koehl himself wants that category to be in the article, I believe it would be appropriate for him to explain why on this talk page, and leave any re-insertion of the category to others that don't have a conflict of interest between creating an encyclopedia and advancing his career. - Tournesol (talk) 08:20, 20 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dishonest? Is The Phnom Penh Post and my client, Chenda Clais, chairman of Airavata Elephant Foundation, also dishonest?
I think its dishonest of you, @Tournesol:, to not announce YOUR conflict of interest in this issue, since you are hounding me outside the sv.wikipedia.org, where you have tried to get me banned on numerous occasions, and delete articles I wrote with verified sources, just based on your personal opinion and your beliefs, which you also state as something Superior to my verified sources, of which some you already removed from the article. I cant really see how your actions possibly are founded on ambitions to improve an encyclopedia, in my eyes, even when I try to view them with Wikipedia:Assume good faith, they seem to be based on some kind of personal vendetta, where you are not acting according to Wikipedia:Etiquette and breaking the rule of Wikipedia:Civility, when you accuse me of dishonesty. It is for me important, that the mobbing and hounding on my person on Swedish Wikipedia, is not being extended to enwiki. Dan Koehl (talk) 10:46, 20 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Neither The Phnom Penh Post nor your client Chenda Clais use the term management consultant. Please stop trying to obfuscate the subject. - Tournesol (talk) 08:29, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest: Dan Koehl ignoring talk page and edit warring in article about himself

[edit]

Despite the discussion above, Koehl keeps edit warring. He introduces a category for which neither the article itself, nor its sources, nor the fifteen links posted be Koehl provide any justification. Since more than a week, he hasn't even responded in the talk page, he just keeps reverting.

How do we solve this? Should Koehl be topic banned from this article? - Tournesol (talk) 13:21, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I see that he has now resorted to adding a "management consultant" attribute to the object about him in Wikidata, referring to one source that doesn't use the term about him and another source which is his own web site. - Tournesol (talk) 09:06, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It seems like it was added by Koehl himself on wikidata, Tournesol. If you have checked the sources and Can not find it confirmed by the sources a person with COI have inserted. Why is it not removed? Any other users here on enwp that agree this is a clear COI? Adville (talk) 11:39, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
