Um...can anybody cite a reference to support the assertion that "Helpless", "Love in the Shadows", "Never Thought (That I Could Love)" and "I Fall All Over Again" were actually hits? None of them is attested by the 1050 CHUM Charts, frex. Bearcat 06:50, 3 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Faith Hill

[edit]

Can somebody provide a reference to confirm that country singer Faith Hill was ever married to this Dan Hill? Although a quick Google search brings up at least a few pages that say yes, it brings up many more that describe Faith's former husband as a music executive, and at least one ([1]) which says that Faith's Dan is not to be confused with "Sometimes When We Touch" Dan. So what's the real story here? Bearcat 05:32, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Found a 1994 news item describing Dan Hill with his wife Bev and "their five-year-old son", which would be at serious odds with a 1988-1994 marriage to Faith Hill:
  • Mazey, Steven (6 August 1994). "Reward is in writing for crooner Dan Hill". Ottawa Citizen. p. F4. {{cite news}}: Check date values in: |date= (help)
Some further references on Dan Hill / Bev Chapin-Hill:
Based on this, it should be safe to say that Faith Hill was married to another Dan Hill. Dl2000 04:59, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I could not find the movie mentioned here, "South of Swansea," in the Internet Movie Database (www.imdb.com) . I'd be interested if anyone has a source to confirm that this movie is real? Or is it a little joke?

Also, why have the links to the following headings, "| Welsh pop singers | Welsh male singers | Welsh singer-songwriters | [...] | Welsh people |" . Dan Hill is a Canadian, so I'm not sure the Welsh references are relevant.

This was pure vandalism that didn't get caught right away. Believe it or not, some people do think it's funny to do that kind of thing to articles. Bearcat 17:33, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Junior?

[edit]

OK, how's he Dan Hill, Jr. when his dad was Daniel G. Hill, III? Just wondering if there's an error. Songflower (talk) 20:42, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Supposed to be Dan Hill IV, and was in the article that way until User:Allan64 decided to change it without apparent reason. This will be corrected, including citation. Dl2000 (talk) 22:54, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
