article review of Dan Frawley (ice hockey)

[edit]

The article on the NHL player, Dan Frawley, was very well written, however there was no use of citations throughout the piece. The author may take note to use a reference other than the players biography from the hockey hall of fame as it may prove to be biased in his representation. There could be additions to his family life and childhood, life after he retired, as well as his status as a First Nations individual.Bernier4a (talk) 01:36, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Article review (2018)

[edit]

1. Is everything in the article relevant to the article topic? Is there anything that distracted you?

No, the article was very to the point. I believe they stayed very on track and very focused on Frawley and his life. They could have said more about his career, especially given after checking the sources used to write the article had more information to provide about him. But in terms of his life post-career, I think they did a proper job and stated the information necessary for the reader to get a picture of what his life is like after his NHL career has ended.

2. Are there viewpoints that are overrepresented, or underrepresented?

No, I believe the article stays on a very neutral viewpoint, with no positive or negative viewpoints sticking out. All in all a very neutrally written article, which is just the way we should be writing them.

3. Is each fact referenced with an appropriate, reliable reference?

I believe that every fact is. However, at the beginning of the article (part about his hockey career), there is a lack of references but this is made up for that you have his stats sheet just underneath the text. I believe this is reference enough to where he played during his hockey career. In addition, there is a lack of references for the information on his induction to the Amerks hall of fame. There is no reference given for it but there is a good sentence of information about it.
