Rescue
[edit]The article has been flagged for rescue and needs a lot of work to meet the standards of even a basic Wikipedia biographical entry. As it stands, it reads like a (badly written) promotional article. Should the article survive the current deletion debate (or, perhaps, in order to survive deletion), the guidelines in the Wikipedia Manual of Style for Biographies should be applied. In particluar:
- The lead section should include Briody's date of birth, nationality and reason for significance.
- The article should be better structured so that the paragraphs flow better. Consider sections such as in this article.
- Make sure that the content of the article is neutral and verifiable. This means that uncited statements such as
- "The Iron Triangle, Briody's first book, was well-received and timely. It landed on several best-seller lists, and put Briody in the media spotlight, commenting to audiences curious about the confluence of the military business and politics."
- should be rewritten to make their to their tone neutral and properly cited to indicate which independent third party has made the claim. The expression "well-received and timely" should be replaced with more neutral language.
- An infobox might also be helpful. Infobox writer would be appropriate for this article.
Good luck! --->Wikipeterproject (talk) 22:00, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
