Article name

[edit]

This article has already had 4 names:

  • April 2007 – Mary Cook
  • June 2008 – Dame Mary Turner Cook
  • August 2008 – Mary Turner Cook
  • November 2008 – Dame Mary Cook.

Although I was the user who made the last change, on reflection I’m not sure it’s the best option.

Nowhere else in WP that I can see is a title such as Sir, Dame, Lord etc used in an article title for disambiguation purposes. It’s "Bill Smith (explorer)" vs. "Bill Smith (politician)" vs. "Bill Smith (chicken sexer)".

In this case, it’d have to be something like: "Mary Cook (prime ministerial spouse)", or even just "Mary Cook (Australian)". Pity we don't call our PM-ial spouses "First Lady" - but we don't, so we can't use that.

Any thoughts? -- JackofOz (talk) 07:41, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
