Result - Partial Rebel Victory?

[edit]

The Result should be changed to "Conflict ongoing" from "Partial rebel victory". The date should read "Ongoing" instead of having ended 25MAR2013.

There is not sufficient evidence to support any conclusion or result of the fighting in and around Damascus. On as daily basis mainstream news sources are reporting on both FSA and Syrian Government operations continuing within Damascus.

Both opposing forces are continuing to sustain combat related causalities and non-combatant civilians are suffering casualties and losses as a direct result of FSA/Government clashes. The Syrian Government controls a majority of Damascus and has a larger military force in the area along with several military strongholds.[1] Syrian Military forces are continuing to retake more of Damascus despite FSA resistance.[2]

There have been no credible sources that can be cited announcing a conclusion to the Damascus offensive (2013). Wolfenstein3D (talk) 20:10, 13 June 2013 (UTC)Wolfenstein3D ---- 1945, 07 june 2013 (UTC)[reply]

All of the current operations in and around Damascus and its countryside are covered in the article Rif Dimashq offensive (March 2013–present), which began when the rebel offensive operations against the capital ceased and the Army started its own offensive against Eastern Ghouta. The new article was created, and the old closed, per agreement among editors. EkoGraf (talk) 19:23, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
