Need for more clarity in Politics section

[edit]

I think the initials "Y.M.B.A." and "LDO" in the Politics section should be explained. Also, I think the following phrase in the last sentence of the Politics section should be explained a bit:

"He boldly made plans to spread out the population".

Why was this thought to be necessary? Where were the people concentrated before they were "spread out", and why had they been concentrated in one (or more) areas? – CorinneSD (talk) 16:29, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Struggle for independence

[edit]

The title "Struggle for independence" is too emotive, and inaccurate. Ceylon became a Dominion, just as Canada and Australia did. There was no struggle or fight to do so.Royalcourtier (talk) 08:44, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Is his birthday 21st October or 20th October?

[edit]

Except for this page and two other articles, every other source states his birth date as 20th October and not 21st October. GrzlE (talk) 17:29, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It was changed to the 21st in 2016 by a Chicago IP without explanation. Sources do indeed seem to use the 20th, so I suspect this was just vandalism and have reverted. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 21:31, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
