Robert F Kennedy is a controversial actress?

John, you went a little crazy adjusting the entry.

We're both a bit biased (I'm Class of '91 and I know who you are), but the point is to state information with minimal judgment according to what a disinterested party would want to know.

A list of noteworthy people who visited would be alright, but we must ignore our urge to include or exclude based on controversy or perception. I would also bullet point the community service projects, with links if available.

But we're missing the big stuff like recent expansions and the planned facility for the pharmacology program. Think major press release kind of stuff, not newsletter or promotional literature. Also, you need to omit your "for more information" tag-line, keeping in mind the purpose of this site, and the fact that the whole thing is for more information in the research sense, not commercial contacts (which are on the DYC site linked at the bottom).

I'd like to work with you on this, and can take care of it if it's too much hassle for you. Maybe we could do lunch and discuss how to improve the article to benefit everyone. Give me a call. 716-868-1329

I did not make of the requested edits to the lede as they're clearly not neutral. I added the "Academics" heading as requested. I didn't delete the enrollment because no reason was given for the deletion of that critical information (is outdated? incorrect? ...?). ElKevbo (talk) 01:46, 17 December 2020 (UTC)

The request to delete enrollment numbers was because it would have been redundant if my other suggested edits were approved (which they were not). If nothing else, I would encourage the editors to included one sentence highlighting an unbiased disclosure of student enrollment and degree offering info in the first paragraph, as to provide a high level overview of the institution. The current first paragraph only discusses D'Youville's location and founding information. This is inconsistent with the into to many other peer institutions, which concisely articulate enrollment and a broad summary of degree offerings in their first paragraph. For example, the editors could replace the first paragraph with "D'Youville College is a private college in Buffalo, New York. D'Youville is named after St. Margeurite D'Youville, a founding member of the Grey Nuns of Montreal. Rational -- The existing data is outdated by 3-4 years and is incorrect. Please see U.S. News and World Report for current independent assessment of information. A more neutral approach is to delete the term "offers" as that is related to marketing. The article should explicitly state the number of degrees the institution has. Proposed revision, "D'Youville College is a private college in Buffalo, New York. D'Youville is named after St. Margeurite D'Youville, a founding member of the Grey Nuns of Montreal. Please update Image name - D'Youville Seal

The color of the seal being shown as "Image name" -- D'Youvilleseal.png -- is not accurate, it utilizes a red that does not match "D'Youville Red" pantone #5B6770. I'm not sure where the original image came from, but it should be black or have a gray pantone that matches "Porter Gray" #FFFFFF. Caityspeakstruth (talk) 16:04, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
