"its importance began only after the Peloponnesian War"

[edit]

Hellespont area center, and Scepsis again, Ionian democracy (land of an often referred scholar) but when? Strabo again; Pliny, Scepsis; more Scepsis; and Cyzicus. Perhaps in their glory they were not caring to Europe in a similar way...201.40.144.18 (talk) 08:38, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Coordinates are inaccurate?

[edit]

I just took a quick look at the coordinates provided here and also in the French and German articles. All three don't seem to be accurate, am I correct? Hopefully someone – maybe me if I have time – can figure out the right coordinates. --AlexanderVanLoon (talk) 08:39, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Was Kyzikus an ancient Nazi temple?

[edit]

We have to ask the obvious question regarding the origin of Hadrian temple, also known as Kyzikus. The swastikas depicted on the remnants of the temple unmistakably prove that this incredible structure was built by ancient Nazis. There are two possible explanations for this. They were either Nazis who invented a time machine and went back to ancient Erdek to construct a temple. Or Hadrian was the great-great-great grandfather of Adolf Hitler who traveled to Erdek from Austria for a summer vacation and who liked the water there so much, despite the algae, that he decided to stay there. So, in which section should I add this part in the article? In the Monuments section or History? Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.189.205.75 (talk) 10:40, 22 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
