Updates

[edit]

I recently added ten sections on varying aspects of Cyrtophorus verrucosus behavior to this Wikipedia article. I am excited to continue updating this page and receiving input from others!VSimhambhatla (talk) 05:06, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@VSimhambhatla: Thanks! Very informative. Now, please clean it up by adding appropriate links and italics, and moving references to being after punctuation, not before it, etc. - UtherSRG (talk) 11:07, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This article is extremely thorough and the writing has great flow in ideas. I like how broad the coverage on topics is. I was interested in additional research regarding the pheromones used by this species so I added an additional section to cover further study. I think that delving deeper into the environmental, economic, etc. impacts of this species in the Interactions with Humans and Livestock would also be interesting. I also added some links to clarify some of the definitions in the page. Overall, I think this article was written very well!

I really like how your article is very descriptive and organized! In Geographic range section, a comma is placed between the words “loss” and “there” in the sentence “It is widely believed that due to biodiversity loss there has been a decrease of C. verruscosus in the Ontario region.” This change improves the readability of the sentence and maintains grammatical correctness. In the Habitat section, a Wiki article is linked to “pheromone.” An image of deciduous trees and a caption are added to enable the readers to visualize the context that describe the beetle's habitat but also reinforce the information presented in the text. In the Mutualism section, an image of the beetle on a flower is added to show its mutualistic relationship with flowers for pollen and nectar extraction. This addition enhances reader engagement and provides visual support for the information presented in the text. By including this image and a relevant caption, readers can better understand the concept of mutualism in the context of the article. In the Conservation section, the word “facillations” is changed to “facilitation” to improve the professionalism and credibility of the content. The phrase "in fact" was replaced to streamline the sentence and make it more concise. Great job! JKatieWiki8Feb (talk) 04:59, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
