File:Curtis Lovell - Poof your a magician.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]
An image used in this article, File:Curtis Lovell - Poof your a magician.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

To take part in any discussion, or to review a more detailed deletion rationale please visit the relevant image page (File:Curtis Lovell - Poof your a magician.jpg)

COI

[edit]

Thor0407 (talk · contribs) and 76.87.67.241 (talk · contribs), are you the subject of this article? If so you need to read WP:COI, our policy on conflict of interest. Also, please do not blank the talk page of this article as you just did. Heiro 07:11, 19 February 2012 (UTC) Photos are used with permission. Email has been sent to commons 76.87.67.241 (talk)[reply]

Also, do not remove or refactor posts made or added by others. Post a note after it and sign your post with ~~~~. Do not remove image deletion warning, or their headers, if commons gets an email as you said and it confirms permission, that link and informatin can be added here, but do not keep removing or refactoring posts other than your own. It is disruptive and future such edits will be treated as deliberate disruption. And go read WP:COI, WP:PROMO and WP:What Wikipedia is not. Heiro 08:06, 19 February 2012 (UTC) At least 2 e-mails have been sent to wikipedia with permission for all the photos used, so why are you deleting them??? Deleted CBS claim

[edit]

I've deleted a sentence that claims CBS made a statement about the subject but the only source provided is a bare URL to the subject's website. This isn't properly referenced and per WP:BLP, references need to be thorough and accurate. Please create the reference properly. Night Ranger (talk) 21:01, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Birth year

[edit]

Is it 1976 or 1981? Several IPs keep switching it back and forth. I looked at 3 or 4 of the refs for the article and didn't see it listed anywhere, but don't really feel like going on what is probably a wild goose chase to see if any of the others might contain it. Is there a ref that would show it once and for all, or a way Lowell could state it here with some sort of documentation? That way we can revert whichever one the vandal is, warn, and then block them if it persists. Heiro 08:06, 24 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Per this [1], I looked at the bio page on his website and it gives "Columbus Ohio March 16, 1981", didn't bother to check his FB. I would rather have an independent secondary source for his birthdate, but this should do for now unless the other IP can produce a citation for the other date.
