I can't get a picture of Mr Perfect to show up. This one here: File:Wwf mr perfect.jpg—Preceding unsigned comment added by Corporal clegg48 (talkcontribs) 01:42, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Perfect DDT

[edit]

I nver saw or heard that Curt used the fisherman ddt as his finisher. not in Awa, WWf, WCw —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 141.157.240.203 (talk) 22:33, 12 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Actually, his finisher was "The Perfect-Plex" in WWE and in WCW it was called the "Hennig Plex" it was a fisherman suplex that bridged into a pin.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.133.129.3 (talk) 17:04, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hennig's WWF Undefeated Streak

[edit]

Mr. Perfect's undefeated streak was ended by The Ultimate Warrior, not Hulk Hogan. I remember the match an thinking what a shame. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.210.46.94 (talk) 05:58, 21 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

No, his "Perfect Record" was ended by Brutus "the Barber" Beefcake at WrestleMania VI. (PHOENIXZERO 06:20, 22 February 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Mr. Henning is to be inducted in the Hall of Fame of the WWE [1]. This should be included in the article.Bobby Hall 12:04, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Kurt was released May 5, 2002. The page then goes on to say WWF in the next section, WWF was changed to WWE on May 6, 2002 wich in the section that talks about his run in TNA says WWF, just wondering if it should be changed to WWE.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Titan012 (talkcontribs) 04:24, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Early WWF career

[edit]

Does anybody know where the 1st part of Hennig's WWF career the 1982-1990, lots of its missing, and it only starts at his title loss to the Texas Tornado, in mid 1990.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Masterofstyle (talkcontribs) 07:35, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As I'm sure people are tired of me pointing out by now, lots of these articles suffer from incomplete chronology. The end result is making the WWF/E out to be as all-important in years past as they're perceived to be today. The reality is that back then, they were just another territory, albeit one of the larger ones.
Missing from the article is that Hennig appeared in Pacific Northwest Wrestling during 1983. He figures rather prominently in the Roddy Piper "shoot interview" on The Oregonian's Steve Duin, ca. April of that year, when Piper responds to Duin's insinuation that Hennig was perhaps homosexual. In 1988, while still an AWA performer, he was brought in to appear on WMC's Championship Wrestling to build a program with Jerry Lawler, following his loss of the AWA title to Lawler. That program could very well have not gotten off the ground due to Hennig joining the WWF; I don't specifically recall.RadioKAOS (talk) 16:14, 7 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
A search would indicate that the article I referred to was entitled "Delineated morality play delights pro wrestling fans," and appeared in The Oregonian on May 12, 1983. I suppose it may require someone actually being in Oregon or thereabouts to dig it up. Apart from any news databases/indices I have yet to search, I doubt that I would find it at any of my local libraries.RadioKAOS (talk) 17:25, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Wcwmrperfectnwo.jpg

[edit]

Image:Wcwmrperfectnwo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 21:17, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Curt Henning before Professional Wrestling

[edit]

Can anyone substantiate the fact that the part of the high-school wrestler in the movie GREASE was playd by none other than Curt Henning? I cannot find anything on it in IMDB or Wikipedia.76.28.71.34 (talk) 01:12, 17 March 2008 (UTC)Fichchef[reply]

Grandson

[edit]

Should it be mentioned that Joe Hennig became a first time father in March 2008 to a baby boy making his grandfather a great-grandfather or something like that? (MgTurtle (talk) 03:41, 1 June 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Death?

[edit]

"On February 10, 2003, Hennig was found dead in a Florida hotel room. The Tampa Coroner's office and the Tampa Medical Examiner's. His father said that steroids and painkillers also contributed to his death.[28]"

One sentence too many? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.206.31.4 (talk) 04:45, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

He died of a cocaine overdose, but this info was unsourced so someone (sloppily) deleted it. I have found a source and cited it. PenguinJockey (talk) 22:23, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Curt Hennig

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Curt Hennig's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "wwf93":

  • From Brian Adams (wrestler): "WWF Results 1993". The History of WWE. Retrieved 2016-12-29.
  • From Survivor Series (1993): "Ring Results: 1993". The History of WWE. Retrieved 2009-09-16.
  • From King of the Ring (1993): Cawthon, Graham. "Ring Results: 1993". The History of WWE. Retrieved 2009-09-19.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 06:31, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
