Cumming Corporation versus Cumming Group
[edit]The term Cumming Group appears to have been used for some time to cover acquisitions and international operations. But as late as 2020, the USA company's website was still being given as ccorpusa.com.[1] As at 2023, their domain is now cumming-group.com. Has the US company changed its official registered business name, or is this just a cosmetic change?

CEO change
[edit]Cumming appears to have quietly replaced David Baird with Derek Hutchison. August 2022, Baird was listed as CEO on their website. [2] December, Hutchison is still listed as president, but Baird is no longer present. [3] March, Hutchison is listed as "President and CEO". [4] I haven't found a press release or media coverage.
There has been recent activity prior to my edits, by actors seeking to align Wikipedia with Cummings messaging. ⁓ Pelagic ( messages ) 18:38, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
New CEO
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello editors, Cumming has hired me to request a small correction to its Wikipedia page. I’ve disclosed my COI on my Talk page. Here’s the request. Thank you for your consideration. Signed, BlueRoses13 (talk) 15:45, 7 October 2024 (UTC)
The infobox says that David Baird is the CEO. In fact, he’s the former CEO. The current CEO (and President) is Derek Hutchison. Here are 3 sources:
a. According to an article from 2024 in Engineering News-Record (“ENR Top Professional Services Firms: Skill Shortages Raise the Stakes”), “Team member recruitment and development is also a top priority for Cumming Group, says the firm’s President and CEO, Derek Hutchison.”
b. According to an article from 2024 in Business Plus (“Cumming Group Expands European Presence with Scollard Doyle Integration”), “‘The move just made sense,’ says Derek Hutchison, President & CEO of Cumming Group on the addition of construction consultancy services company Scollard Doyle to its business.”
c. According to an article from 2024 in the Commercial Observer (“Cumming Group Picks Gavin Middleton and Christine Mosholder for Top Posts”), “‘These appointments bolster our client advocacy, team development and operational excellence,’ Cumming CEO Derek Hutchison said in a statement.”
Can we therefore remove from the infobox two things: (a) David and (b) the “citation needed” template?
I'm tagging @Pelagic, since Pelagic raised this issue in March 2023 (here on the Talk page). Thank you.
