POV & Sources
[edit]I sense a pro-Cumberland POV here. For example:
- "Cumberland is well known for its emphasis on Trial Advocacy and in 2006 and 2007 the Princeton Review featured Cumberland in its 'Best 170 Law Schools' ranking Cumberland 6th in the country for faculty performance and accessibility and 7th in the country for overall quality of life."
- "This event is generally considered the most prestigious trial advocacy competition in the United States."
- "Prior to the official founding of the United States' first law schools, the primary means for a legal education was apprenticeship. To give some perspective, establishing law schools was difficult in the early 1800s. Harvard was only able to reestablish its law school in 1829 and Yale in 1826. By 1859 Cumberland, Harvard, and the University of Virginia School of Law were the three largest law schools in the United States. A year later, 1860, only 21 university law schools existed in the country and in no documented case did the curriculum last over two years." Unsourced information, potentially from a pro-Columbia POV.
I also don't see the sources a good article should have:
- As of 01:32, 21 May 2009 (UTC), 16 out of 46 of the references were dead, or 35%.
- Wikipedia is not a reliable source. See WP:SELFPUB. Another 7% of references (3/46).
- A quick check of references reveals, as of 01:32, 21 May 2009 (UTC), 58% of the references are valid.
Conclusion: placing article On hold: this article is awaiting improvements before it is passed or failed.. mynameincOttoman project 01:32, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
Final verdict (excuse the pun): Failed. Sorry, but it still isn't sourced adequately. mynameinc (t|c|o|r) 13:36, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
