Expansion

Surely there is far more information that may be added here, particularly since there is not even any mention at all of Icelandic cuisine, unique as it is. SouthernComfort 11:07, 7 August 2005 (UTC)

A bit over the top...

  • "The culture of Iceland is rich and varied..."
  • "...a large amount of art galleries, bookstores, cinemas, and museums."
  • "The inhabitants of Iceland take care to preserve their traditions and language."
  • "Women occupy an important place in society, prominently in the government."
  • "...Icelanders remain a very healthy nation."
  • "Chess is a popular type of recreation favored by the Icelanders Viking ancestors."

These are some of the sentences that make this article sound like a tourist brochure. This rock-climbing poet would like to see some sources provided for the statements above or a serious rephrasing. --Bjarki 15:27, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
