New Sections, Greater Context and Detail
[edit]Hello,
This article lacks a lot of specific information on the greater context of the Act itself. I plan to rearrange the article into three distinct sections, including a "Context" section for a better understanding of how Cuban-U.S. relations specifically led to the creation of the article, a "Contents" section that succinctly summarizes the provisions of the act, and a "Legacy" section to give the effects the acts had on both the Cuban economy and U.S. politics. Through that, I will also integrate some journal articles from the time the act passed to assert the legal and professional reactions from the act. Aside from that, some other sources I will use are the signing statement by President Bush for the law as well as a reference book to clean up the start of the article. Article was not a 5x expansion; no prejudice against re-nomination if it is brought to GA status.
- ... that the Cuban Democracy Act was signed by President Bush in order to stop Cuban-American support for Bill Clinton in the 1992 election?
- ALT1: ... that the Cuban Democracy Act strengthened both sanctions on, and humanitarian aid to, Cuba?
5x expanded by Zperrier25 (talk). Self-nominated at 13:26, 7 November 2021 (UTC).
- This isn't a five-fold expansion. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:26, 10 November 2021 (UTC)
