[edit]I have redefined the crescent of houses as council-built houses rather than imply they are all still council owned. Most houses have been bought by tenants and remain private homes while the remaining rented social homes were transferred in 2001 to a housing association called Severnside Housing.Cloptonson (talk) 18:54, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
Hare and Hounds
[edit]Sadly, the pub burned down sometime before 2016 and is currently (Jan 2020) still a wreck at the side of the B4386. Cruckton (talk) 11:11, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
- In July 2023, there is considerable work converting the (ex-)pub building into private housing, and adding yet more houses in the surrounding grounds. Cruckton (talk) 16:44, 11 July 2023 (UTC)
'Publicly funded school'
[edit]Cruckton Hall School (near which I once lived) is described as 'Publicly funded'. On what basis is that the case? I understand it to be a private (or specialist independent) school whose only publicly sector source of income might be payment by local authorities of expenses of children from their area who are referred to the school. It was never part of the state school system or local education authority.Cloptonson (talk) 08:28, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
