Proposed merge with Blue Coat Systems

[edit]

Vastly over-detailed article with questionable notability from WP:CORP, and 4 year old NPoV cleanup tag. Since the company was acquired by Blue Coat, what content here that is non-promotional should probably be merged there. FalconK (talk) 09:00, 5 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have a former COI with BlueCoat. I did not previously know of this article's existence. Would definitely be willing to stub it and cleanup all the promotionalism if that's ok. That way whether it is merged or sent to AfD, no one in the community has to wade through all the spam. CorporateM (Talk) 20:49, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I certainly wouldn't object! FalconK (talk) 23:31, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I just reviewed CorporateM's suggested version, and it looks a lot better to me. I have edited the article to incorporate the changes (as always, I am responsible for edits I make) Please look it over. I think we may want to remove the merge tag now. --Guy Macon (talk) 06:53, 30 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
This is greatly improved. I think we can remove the tag and keep this. FalconK (talk) 07:14, 30 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks all. Does this mean we can remove the tag on the Blue Coat page indicating that a merge is under discussion or should it stay up longer? CorporateM (Talk) 20:26, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I just WP:BOLDLY deleted the tag. --Guy Macon (talk) 21:06, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
