1827

[edit]

Query about 1827. s:Yeats, Grant David (DNB00) states that Grant David Yeats was Croonian lecturer in that year. Possibly that was a year of publication. A recent paper (PDF) makes the lecture by 1826 - interestingly Yeats attacked the stethoscope as a fad, amongst other things! Munk's Roll says 1827 too (the DNB article is close to what is there: The roll of the Royal College of Physicians of London (1878) at archive.org. 1859

[edit]

The DNB says William Brinton was lecturer in that year. Charles Matthews (talk) 06:48, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

1867

[edit]

States that lecturship not appointed. I am revising the bibliographic record for "Intestinal Obstruction" by William Brinton, 1867. The preface states "The following work is based upon the Croonian Lectures which I had the honour of delivering before the College of Physicians in 1859." You may want to edit this page to reflect the same. JCBurnett (talk) 15:33, 9 July 2014 (UTC) J.C. Burnett[reply]
