Band "Pipapelli" Releases song about "Lagoon Man"
[edit]An editor, now since abandoned username, added external reference to a US Band, and their song. The link is now obsolete, and the actual reference has been deleted. Former Link [[1]] "http://pipapelli.wix.com/home" removed for clarity, as the explanitory text is gone, along with the website. ~Original edits were in December 2012. This is just the cleanup.

"Kilted Creature" created "Pipapelli" and is now performing "Black Lagoon" and many other tunes coming from the Creatures' point of view on life, love & murder. www.kiltedcreature.wixsite.com/kiltedcreature facebook.com/kiltedcreature kiltedcreature@gmail.com 50.111.37.111 (talk) 12:11, 31 August 2018 (UTC)
Cleanup and Expansion
[edit]This article is poorly developed and sourced and needs more work done on it. The remake section should be rewritten and reorganized so that it it properly structured. The article is missing important information on the film's release and reception which needs to be added to the article. There are also several sections in the article that are unsourced and should either be removed or given proper citations, the section on the film's novelization should be toned down as it is too detailed and it should be given proper citations. The home media section is unsourced and needs to be given proper citations for its information. There should also be more information on the film's legacy added to the article as well. All of these changes and additions need to occur in order for this article to meet Wikipiedia's guidelines and standards of a well developed and properly sourced article.--Paleface Jack (talk) 16:43, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
Looking at this article again, I realize that there's a lot more issues than I previously stated. Writing/formatting issues, missing information, and unsourced material that compose this article is disheartening. Because of the amount of issues in this article, it would be best if it were to be rewritten so that it's better formatted and balanced. I will volunteer my services for this article once I've completed all of the other articles and commitments that I've backlogged at the moment. Anyone willing to discuss working on major editing for this article feel free to message me.--Paleface Jack (talk) 16:29, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
Novelization
[edit]There appears to be another adaptation in 1981. See https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Julian_May#Works_under_the_name_Ian_Thorne Darci (talk) 08:30, 27 October 2017 (UTC)

Expansion Needed
[edit]Looking over this article, I have noticed how poor it is written and developed. The amount of information that exists and what has come out, there is a lot of work that needs to be done with this subject. Due to the amount of into out there on the subject, each section will need to be split into respective subsections. Production section needs to be split into Development, Casting, Filming, and Design subsections with information going into those aspects of the films production. Information on the film's music also needs to be added. Release section needs to be split into theatrical and home media release subsections. Reception section should detail its critical response during its initial release and modern day response. And finally the Legacy section should give details on its cultural impact, influence, and various sequels and failed remakes that exist caused by its success. Read BEFORE editing
[edit]I have noticed a lot of edits on this article recently that seem to make this article a whole lot messier and so I have decided to post here what is really needed to be done with this article so it can help others moving forwards. First off, there are way too many images in the article and they will have to be removed or consolidated. Also, the information in the article such as the production needs to have significant expansion with proper citations, my previous post "Expansion Needed" has a lot more info on this format. Consolidating the information is much needed as its all over the place. At the moment I am working on a bunch of different articles, including a rewrite and expansion of the Gill-Man so when I see information that will be best included in this article I will add it.
