It may take quite a bit of effort to locate the quote from the Courier-Mail (a tabloid). He seems to be a very popular subject for them.WQUlrich (talk) 23:34, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Defamation issue

[edit]

Information I changed or removed from this article was done pursuant to an OTRS ticket to the Wikimedia foundation alleging a possible defamation issue. The material was either encyclopedically irrelevant to the topic, or the source did not fully support what was claimed. WP:BLP violations are not to be tolerated.

If you want the material added in, the WP:BURDEN is on you to support it, providing a good reason why it should be included. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. Just because a factoid is published somewhere doesn't mean it's worthy of inclusion.

I shall remove the contentious information one more time and fully protect this article until the issue is resolved by consensus here. ~Amatulić (talk) 15:30, 6 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I find your notations biased. The material on site related to the living person Mr Gore are in identical relationship to the material removed. As you correctly state "Just because a factoid is published somewhere doesn't mean it's worthy of inclusion" yet you have acted to allow material that is published and not factual remain in the article relating related to Mr Gore, and removed material that is faculty correct relating to the sale and other contentious factual material to be removed. The information related to Mr Gore creditors and his Business affairs are improperly, intentional and vexatious reported. I believe by persons paid to track and monitor this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lens Bright (talkcontribs) 20:58, 6 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A single purpose account with zero edits outside this topic has no business lecturing others about bias.
I have no stake in the content of this article. I reviewed the material removed and the sourcing and agreed that the removals were reasonable and not encyclopedically relevant to the topic. I do not claim that my judgment is infallible. Nevertheless, this article falls under WP:BLP rules, and the burden is on the person who adds material to justify its addition; see WP:BURDEN. That burden has not been met by your reply above. ~Amatulić (talk) 08:40, 7 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
