Should this page be about Very Light Rail / (Ultra Light Rail?) in general?
[edit]I wonder if this page should be about Very Light Rail in general, with the Coventry project being just a part. It seems there are a number of designs that would fall into this category such as the Parry People Mover. I found an academic paper from 2003 called "Ultra light rail as intermediate transport for the urban environment"[1]
There have also been other designs with prototypes such as the Cybertran[2] which is described as using "ultralight rail technology" and thus would seem to fit in a general discussion of the history. Tjej (talk) 05:20, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
- Another candidate for "very light rail" would be be Taxirail from France. Small, autonomous pods (capable of running in platoons) for use on otherwise "uneconomic" railway branch lines. It's concept only as of July 2021

- No, it's a specific system, requiring its own page. You wouldn't try to cram every individual tram system onto the tram page. Not that there would be any problem with having a page on the concept of very light rail in general. G-13114 (talk) 16:46, 27 July 2021 (UTC)
