Landward

[edit]

In Scotland they often have a local programme in its place called "Landward". They seem to share articles concerning Scotland. Landward is only on for 30 minutes, as opposed to Countryfile's 1 hour format. When Landward is off air, then CountryFile is shown instead.

From what I've seen on Countryfile, it does tend not to include much Scottish news, and seems to concentrate on England, NI and Wales.

There really should be a separate section for Landward.

Malicious editing, apparently by BBC employees

[edit]

Hello. I've found that this page was edited on the 26th November last year by the IP address 132.185.161.96, which according to IP lookup has been owned by the BBC since no later than 1996. The primary purpose of these edits was to add highly biased copy sounding like it was copied from a press release (I don't know if this was the case or not) and delete a large section of the article about an age discrimination lawsuit, when a court upheld concluding the BBC had broken the law. (I noticed this a while back but feel now it deserves a full response.) I have reverted the more egregious parts of this, and am looking out for further cases of this kind of thing. Let me know if you see any. To whoever did this, if you're reading: this is unacceptable, and you'll get spotted if you try it again. Blythwood (talk) 18:07, 28 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Past presenters

[edit]

Do you think that the box in the top right-hand corner could include reference to past presenters?Vorbee (talk) 18:56, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Children in Need

[edit]

The article says that the calendar is sold in aid of Children in Need. It does not say that it features a Children in Need special - as it did on October 28, 2018. Vorbee (talk) 18:02, 28 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Timing when broadcast on Sunday mornings

[edit]

This article says the programme was moved to early Sunday evenings. Would it be possible for it to mention the time of day it was broadcast when it was broadcast on Sunday mornings, please? Rollo August (talk) 19:17, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
