Founding date
[edit]@Mindmatrix: What should the founding date be for the infobox? Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 16:53, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Vaselineeeeeeee: You may want to ask in a broader forum. (Is there even a standard for this?) One choice is the date the hospital opens, another is the groundbreaking date, and yet another is the establishment of the project (which has a number of different dates associated with it). To be honest, I don't know, but it appears the infobox for other Ontario hospitals use the opening date. Mindmatrix 17:04, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Mindmatrix: Ok, I'll ask at the hospitals project. It would seem that similar parameters to buildings such as CN Tower, use | start_date and | completion_date to signify construction start date and the opening date, which may also be useful here. If there is no response, maybe I'll make a template edit request to add these parameters. Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Hospitals#Construction/opening dates. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 18:03, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Vaselineeeeeeee: The use of those parameters seems like a good approach; I know I had seen them on other infoboxes, but could not remember which ones. Mindmatrix 01:54, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Mindmatrix: Sounds good. Would you mind leaving a comment at the project page discussion I started, so I can take the small consensus after a week or so to Template:Infobox hospital for an edit request? Thanks. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 02:04, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
