The second sentence says the work was compulsory, so isn't this a forced labor camp? Why doesn't the lead sentence use that term? It seems like a little euphemism is going on. I'm sure we won't find that term in Russian sources, since forced labor camps are outlawed by the UN, but surely there are independent sources that call it what it is? --ChetvornoTALK22:20, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
In every country the prison terminology is different. It is not true that forced labor camps are outlawed by the UN. "Corrective colonies" in Russia are, in essence, no different from e.g. US prisons where inmates also are forced to work. Leg-ch (talk) 10:42, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
