Part of an edit requested by an editor with a conflict of interest has been implemented.
Hi - I would like to suggest a change to the Growth and Renovations section of the Corning Museum of Glass article. The last sentence in the section currently states "The North Wing expansion is slated to open in 2014." The wing is now called the Contemporary Art + Design Wing, and it will open March 20, 2015. (see this UrbanGlass article and this page on the CMoG website). I work at the Corning Museum of Glass and would like to avoid a conflict of interest. Would someone else be able to approve the change and/or update the sentence? Thanks in advance! extabulis (talk) 20:07, 28 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, CorporateM! Instead of adding the full name, would you mind changing "North Wing expansion" to "new wing" or "new contemporary wing"? Both of those are more accurate than North Wing. extabulis (talk) 18:38, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Chaosdruid, looks to me like this was part of an edit from a user with a close connection to the topic. At least some of the sources also appear in the references section. I'd vote to incorporate any sources that are useful as references, then delete this section. extabulis (talk) 14:53, 29 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
extabulis, well I've made a start - turned some of them into external links, removed dead ones, converted the first to match the external links format, amalgamated them into the section and removed the "Notes" section.
Hi. I'm a new editor and am wondering if it is cool to just remove the sections/info that state the names of different galleries? It seems like that section is only designed to give props to donors, rather than tell you much about the museum itself. How frowned upon is deletion within an article?
