[1]If anyone knows what a "Constellation Professor" means (e.g. Dr. James Hendler, Senior Constellation Professor at Rennselaer...), please add it. 213.47.181.20 (talk) 20:02, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The term "Constellation Professor" may be unique to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. It also may not be -- I certainly didn't do an exhaustive search. In any case, at RPI "Constellations are multidisciplinary teams of senior faculty, junior faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates. The constellation faculty comprise three or more outstanding stars in a particular research field." See their web page [2] for further details. The Constellation program hasn't been canceled yet, it still has to go through Congress. I'm changing it back. --pokasd (talk) 01:26, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A constellation is a group of stars that form something. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.249.166.23 (talk) 20:51, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
