What's this ?
[edit]Hi!
I'm a native French speaker since quite a half century and I never heard this term in French grammar. Can you please cite sources ? Papatt (talk) 03:23, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
- I found the definition in this glossary when I was searching for information on the term in Finnish grammar. The term may not be widely used in French grammar, since I found a mention of it only there on the web. — Eru·tuon 23:48, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
- Well, I don't know J.C. van de Weijer ; his only work seems to be this glossary. I'm afraid that is only WP:OR, at least for French language. My search for "connegative" isn't more convicting, even less with a French spelling, sorry. Papatt (talk) 00:31, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
- Check here on Joost van de Weijer's homepage (found at the same link I gave you, minus the /Texts/glossary.pdf bit) for a list of publications by him. He's a linguistic researcher, so it's likely that he got this use of the term from somewhere. I can't find where that is, though. — Eru·tuon 03:17, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
- OK but this is another primary source, not more convicting for me. Papatt (talk) 15:14, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
