Citations

[edit]

I added several citations to the website so viewers will know where the information came from and how to find more. It should probably be added in other sections as well. KWaterbury (talk) 23:57, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Mathematics & Science

[edit]

Mathematics was added but science is still needed. KWaterbury (talk) 23:57, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Information Outdated?

[edit]

Is this information outdated? The CT DOE website does not list the CMT as of the 2017-2018 year, and all the sources here seem to date to 2011. zandperl (talk) 22:35, 4 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

criticism section needs sources

[edit]

The criticism section is lacking sources for the first 2 paragraphs and seems mostly opinion based. Where's the proof that both students AND teachers have called this test "useless?" Also, if you're taking the test in the spring semester of 8th grade, this is only a few months before you start high school in Connecticut, not 2 years, so that statement is just incorrect. I've deleted that section. The first half still has no sources, and the second half is general commentary on standardised testing, not specific to CMT. I have no reason to doubt the truth of any of the statements -- I'd be pleased to see the criticism section restored, if someone can write a section that's on topic, in encyclopedic tone and appropriately referenced.
