Delete this article
[edit]This article should be deleted since the website ConnectU is not a known project. Its rating is very low and this website is only known because of its connection with Facebook. As we may see from the reference section that it only lists articles about lawsuits by ConnectU against Facebook and in my opinion that is not enough. The website must have a notability of its own and I think this is not the case with Con

[edit]Wikipedia is about completeness and this article points out some important aspects of the case and its history in the legal system. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 18.223.0.143 (talk) 19:27, August 26, 2007 (UTC)
Just because the site is not popular does not mean it does not deserve an entry in Wikipedia. ConnectU may be much more well known because of the Facebook litigation, but that does not justify removing it from an encyclopedia. Okuzaone 16:07, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Please everyone, contributions to an AfD discussion belong on the relevant AfD page, not here. -- Smjg 00:52, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
I just learned about ConnectU and was glad I could learn about the history of it here on Wikipedia. Please don't delete. 70.225.187.189 (talk)eric ferguson —Preceding undated comment added 03:06, 6 December 2010 (UTC).
I think we should restore it..
[edit]IMO, it should be restored. The fact that it has gained popularity and came to be known by many people via facebook is no reason for it to be deleted. I will wait before restoring it, pending further input from other users. Cheers!

Not enough history of ConnectU itself?
[edit]If the article is going to be retained, then I think there should be more concrete information about ConnectU itself. The particular detail that I was looking for was actually when it shut down, but now I'm wondering how large it grew and whether or not they managed to market the site to any other schools. In favor of deleting it, I have to say that right now I don't see any particularly significant or memorable things there, and on its lack of such merits, the argument for deletion is quite strong. The key information here might belong in a table about failed social networking sites, probably linked as supporting information from the main article on social networking.
