Tingler

[edit]

Citing Tingler on a Wikipedia entry about the Confiserie Sprüngli isn't appropriate. Tingler lacks the education, age, credibility and dignity for being cited here. Someone (Tingler himself? His publisher?) obviously succeeded in smuggling his quotation in here. Please delete it again in accordance with Wikipedia rules. If you need a citation here, take one from a historian or credible contemporary witness. Tingler's novel is entirely fictional and unfunded, both historically and in regard to today's Confiserie Sprüngli. The citation looks like a cheap attempt at extending Tingler's online footprint. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.83.239.67 (talkcontribs)

Actually, the citation was put there by me, a normal Wikipedia volunteer unassociated with either Confiserie Sprüngli or Philipp Tingler, while I was writing the article. I found it via a Google Book search when looking for material for this article. It adds interesting flavor, I believe. If you find more appropriate content, feel free to suggest it here, with sources (WP:V). But you should read WP:BLP and be accordingly careful when making unsourced statements with respect to Mr. Tingler.  Sandstein  18:20, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
