Needs Update
[edit]This is a wonderful chart but it is a bit out of date. I would update it but I am not an expert and would just pull the info off Amazon.
Specifically USB 3.0 and max drive size - This comment was added in 2015
- It is now very out of date Newystats (talk) 03:18, 2 March 2023 (UTC)
Revert of 22 November 22
[edit]Banned user Ken.higgins111 made edits to this page, which were then reverted by BangJan1999. Is there anything useful in those edits that should be kept?? Newystats (talk) 03:25, 2 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Newystats: :User:Ken.higgins111 added https://www.securedrive.com/product/secureusb-duo-encrypted-flash-drive and similar which seems to be correct to me, however those edits were reverted by @BangJan1999:.
- According to Geizhals there are hardly any offers in Europe: https://geizhals.eu/clevx-securedata-securedrive-kp-ssd-v86690.html therefore I would keep it as it is, except someone re-adds them.

Scope of the page
[edit]@Endareth, Eagering, Namecensoredbympaa, Battlecruser9292, and Hunan201p: What is the scope of the page?
- Should it list historical drives or only currently sold ones?
— Johannes Kalliauer - contrib. 22:27, 9 June 2023 (UTC)
- @JoKalliauer: I'm really sorry for taking so long to respond to you. I am not well-versed in this topic but I see no reason why the article should be about historical encrypted drives only; it should definitely feature new models as long as they can be reliably sourced. I only stopped by this page to make my routine grammar edits. Thanks for your helpful contributions back in May. Please add more when you find the time. - Hunan201p (talk) 19:41, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
- @Hunan201p: Sorry for writing unclear: The question is if we should delete drives that are not sold any more. If you want to buy an encrypted drive you buy a currenlty sold one with USB3.x . Historical drives might be usefull for showing the progress and maybe they are bought back in those days and still used for relevant governmental issues. — Johannes Kalliauer - contrib. 03:56, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
- Ah, I see. Thanks for that. In hindsight, you were clear enough. I should have read your comment more carefully. Well, I don't know if we should delete the older drives or just organize them in to sections based on decade/obsolescence. I'd be happy to help you with the latter if that's something you'd be interested in. Otherwise, I'm not going to protest if you take the deletionist route. Hope you have a great day. - Hunan201p (talk) 08:48, 10 July 2023 (UTC)
