Disgusting Whitewash
[edit]- As it stands now, the article is a disgusting whitewash of these Godless commie mass murderers!I am sickened with this article and plan to do a full writeup exposing these terrorists while keeping a WP:NPOV neutral tone. I have made some preliminary modifications to that effect.Hkelkar 15:00, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
- I think that the fact that you talked about "Godless commie mass murderers" kinda rules you out as being capable of putting forward a fair, objective and unbiased writeup of any kind. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.49.116.86 (talk) 03:14, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Disgusting white wash, that's all I agree with.
Disgusting whitewash of the semifascist Indian State. Reads worse than some Govt. of India reports. Extremely POV'd towards the Indian State and against the CPI(Maoist). The article is almost beyond repair; it should be deleted and written up from scratch in an unbiased way. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.93.241.169 (talk) 21:13, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
I am not an expert but the article sites only government sources, few independent -mostly western- and none of the revolutionaries. It seems very biased. Definitely should be re-written on a more neutral basis. User Hkelkar statement of purpose above might help to explain the current form. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.27.109.177 (talk) 23:35, 10 May 2013 (UTC)
Description as a political Party
[edit]The description of this entity as a political party is incorrect as they have never indicated that they would participate in any kind of elections-democratic or any other. The closest they may be described as a communist party since they seek to replace the government with one they call "communist". They should be best described as an "underground organisation advocating the installation of a Revolutionary communist government in India"Andy anno (talk) 21:24, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
The "Communist Party of India (Maoist)" could be described an "underground organisation advocating the installation of a Revolutionary communist government in India", with as much thoroughness and accuracy as the Ku Klux Klan could be described as a "cultural organization." Despite its pretensions to political transformation its objectives are quite mundane, if ruthless.
The Communist Party of India (Maoist) lives up to its title by emulating the genocidal dictator for which it is named; not only by carrying out the wholesale slaughter of defenseless villagers in the remote districts of South, Central and Eastern India, but by claiming thereafter to have perpetrated its atrocities in the interests of its victims.
In reality the Communist Party of India (Maoist) is no more than a group of druglords, seeking to establish a reign of thuggery in the remotest areas of India so as to establish and control a system of producing and distributing heroin for profit.

Naxal Activities Funded From Narcotic Trade In Orissa
Tellingly, the Communist Party of India (Maoist)'s most vengeful atrocities target those who give the lie to its claims of working for the betterment of the downtrodden... the downtrodden themselves. For example, villagers who seek to improve their own lot by taking up employment with the state, as policemen. One such villager was beheaded by the CPI (Maoist) in an attempt to terrorize others of his class who might dare to share in his ambition.
Maoists Acknowledge Beheading Inspector Induwar
The Communist Party of India (Maoist) also takes it upon itself to murder any genuine social workers who might actually be contributing to the empowerment of the villagers, because such empowerment impacts the ability of the CPI (Maoist) to further its criminal agenda at their expense. A case in point is Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati, whose contributions to the welfare of villagers in Orissa caused him to be murdered by cadres of the CPI (Maoist).

Fascist bias
[edit]It seems Hindu fascists have heavily biased this article away from a NPOV. I have nominated this article to be checked for neutrality. Madhava 1947 (talk) 08:59, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
This uncalled for verbal abuse against hinduism by Madhava 1947 should be noted by wikipedians and he should be asked to mind his language. --59.92.237.114 (talk) 05:30, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

All information added have references, only if you had taken the trouble to scroll down the page and check them before complaining here. --59.92.239.157 (talk) 11:43, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
- Not sufficient. You provided only one reference for the entire section [1] -Reconsider the static (talk) 11:44, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Scroll down and check the references, there are over 40 of them. --59.92.239.157 (talk) 11:50, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

RE: Using cannibalism to strike terror among tribals
[edit]Two problems with this section: (1) The source cited refers to one isolated incident and in no way implies that the Maoists have ever frequently used cannibalism as a tactic to "strike terror." (2) This single incident is out of sequence if it has it's own section and has been moved to the relevant section ("Recent Violent Activities"). If this does not make sense, then please reply.--RDavi404 (talk) 06:43, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
Even a single incident displays the cruelty the people have to suffer under maoist rule.
This should have its own section to make people aware of the maoist tactics. Dont bury these incidents in the ("Recent Violent Activities")
Front Organisations
[edit]I removed the section on "Front Organisations" for two reasons: (1) The section is copied and pasted directly from http://www.satp.org/satporgtp/countries/india/terroristoutfits/PWG.htm. (2) The source actually refers to front organizations of the PWG, which ceased to exist when it merged with the Maoist Communist Centre of India (MCC) to form the CPI-Maoist. While these groups may still act as fronts for the CPI-Maoist, the source does not indicate this. --RDavi404 (talk) 14:52, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
Its so obvious when two groups merge their front organsation too merge and work as one, you need to grow and stop taking refuge in such trivial matters to hide the dubious dealings of such front organisations which are involved raising funding for banned terrorist groups --Mahesh2001 (talk) 13:02, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
- Anything on wikipedia must be verified by a reliable source. This includes no original research. If you can cite a source that explicitly states that the CPI(M) uses these front organizations then please feel free to include the list. Otherwise this list of groups is more appropriate for the CPI(ML) article.--RDavi404 (talk) 17:30, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
The link itself is an indication that the two groups have merged which INCLUDES their front organizations. I guess you have got a problem in accepting this since this causes problems for the terrorist outfit to raise money by duping people by claiming that they are not associated with the terrorists. Well truth has no use for a person like you, anything can be whitewashed by hiding the activities of these criminal groups. --Mahesh2001 (talk) 07:37, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
- Would you mind providing the quote from the link that indicates the PWG, along with its front organizations, merged with the CPI(M)? I am unable to find it on this part of SATP's website.RDavi404 (talk) 14:09, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
Vandalism on this page by people working for foreign Multinational corporations like Microsoft
[edit]This page is repeatedly being vandalized by people working for Microsoft corporation.
The IP address 131.107.0.77 is being used in nefarious activities like deleting references which bring out the cruelty of the maoist terrorists towards the Indian people.
The IP address belongs to Microsoft corporation, this can be checked by going to http://whois.domaintools.com/131.107.0.77 The result is as follows OrgName: Microsoft Corp OrgID: MSFT Address: One Microsoft Way City: Redmond StateProv: WA PostalCode: 98052 Country: US NetRange: 131.107.0.0 - 131.107.255.255
The owners of Microsoft corporation should take due note of such criminal activity and punish the guilty among them.
Wikipedians are requested to keep a close watch on such vandals and take appropriate action to delete propaganda of a banned terrorist group from being spread. --Mahesh2001 (talk) 05:56, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

Governance tactics
[edit]The references [7] and [17] are extremely biased. They allege that tribals are "caught between rebels and vigilantes", the CPI(Maoist) had been formed by the union of a Maoist and a Marxist group etc. The first one has been negated by Arundhati Roy's article "Walking with the comrades", and anyone who has any knowledge about the naxalite movement knows that both the groups that formed the CPI(Maoist) were hardcore Maoist. Such rubbish articles intend to spew a lot of imaginary facts about their subjects. So I think it is necessary to cite some reliable source, and more than one at that, to accuse naxals of forcefully recruiting men, specially when their widespread mass-support has become well known in recent months as more than one journalist and human rights activist travelled into their base areas. I have also removed the accusation of their preventing aid to reach the local population, as not a single such case has been pointed out by any report so far. Srijon (talk) 10:59, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
- Do not remove cited content simply because those do not fit in to your scheme of things. And btw, Arundhati Roy's article is strictly her personal opinion and not facts. Thanks. Shovon (talk) 11:25, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
Before throwing the accusation of forcing people into their militia at Naxalites, we need to see a statistical survey or something of that sort supporting the fact. Otherwise the reports are nothing more than the personal opinions of the reporters, specially when the said reports provide false information regarding other obvious facts too, as I have shown. On the other hand, Roy's article still stands its grounds against all criticisms, and many of her claims are supported by statistical surveys. Srijon (talk) 12:09, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
- And I suppose that the 20+ passengers killed in Chhattisgarh were also feudal landlords/zaminders? Or the villagers, many of whom are adivasis, who are routinely killed by these anarchists and later branded as police informers, are also landlords or part of their private armies? As for Roy, her track record clearly shows her bias. And as for you, the sources become biased, when they are against you POV, while they are perfectly OK when those support your view. Please do not make changes to the article without discussion in the talk page and building a consensus. Thanks. Shovon (talk) 13:26, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
I will return to defending my first edit later, as I require ample free-time to battle those who dedicate their lives, perhaps in exchange of payment, to slander revolutionary forces. As for my edit concerning poppy cultivation, I have clearly shown how the article goes beyond what it cites. You are yet to provide any reason for reverting that one. Srijon (talk) 13:46, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, everything is alleged. Why don't you try this and see for yourself? Regarding your accusations, history of Communism has been replete with witch hunts, branding all opposition as class enemies or on the payroll of someone and purges. So its nothing new. So much for consensus and freedom of speech. Before making any controversial changes, I would suggest you build a consensus on the talk pages first. Shovon (talk) 16:31, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
My edit on Maoists' funding merely sticks to what the cited article states. As for you, I have noticed your attempts to bias the Salwa Judum and other Maoist related pages against Maoists. These things happen when hardcore reactionary supporters of the ruling class try to embrace the internet as their last refuge as their forces in the real world are eliminated by the masses. From your user-name it is evident that you live in India, just like me. So there is no need to inform you about what Maoists do and what kind of support they have. The sooner you give up propagandizing against Maoists, the better, because whether you like it or not, despite the attempted demonization by the ruling class and its lackeys, Maoists are gaining popularity every moment. Srijon (talk) 17:42, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
