There is another article "Nighthawk" which seems to describe the same species. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.68.196.57 (talk) 09:37, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
File:Chordeiles minor -British Columbia -Canada-8c.jpg to appear as POTD soon
[edit]Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Chordeiles minor -British Columbia -Canada-8c.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on July 11, 2011. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2011-07-11. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad. :) Thanks! howcheng {chat} 17:47, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
Ecolocation
[edit]I heard what I think was a nighthawk again last evening, and when it flew close to me I could hear it's chirp echoing. It helped confirm how I think it uses ecolocation.
Otherwise, Wikipedia gives only two birds that use bio sonar, swiftlets and oilbirds. Dcebr (talk) 20:18, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
